Marian & Stub Ploutz
are your hosts and the owners of the Octagon Farm Bed & Breakfast, and welcome
you to their home and farm.
Although there are no longer
cattle on this former dairy farm, it still produces corn and alfalfa hay for other local
farmers. The farm also produces a variety of fresh vegetables for the farm's own Market.
As you walk up to the Octagon
house you notice the massive stones that make up the steps and porch as well as a one-of-a-kind
stone bench. As you push open the oversized wood and glass door, you realize that this
is no ordinary house.
There are four main rooms
on the first floor, a kitchen, dining room, living room, and music room. They are laid
out in such a way that hides the fact that you are in an Octagon house.
As you walk into the center
hallway, an spiral octagon stairway with rosewood railing leads you to the second floor.
