Pen Pals Across the Water

Imagine you have a chronic health condition. Imagine you are housebound and endure long stays in a hospital. Imagine you are cut off from your friends and the interactions with people that enrich our daily lives.

Now imagine you are a child.

Pen Pals Across the Water brings together chronically ill children and young adults across world, providing a medium for the exchange of letters and the start of friendships.

Pen Pals Across the Water is privileged to present the artwork of artist Diana Rose-Miller, of Scotland. Diana has graciously extended to P.P.A.T.W. permission to use images of her
Hurricane series of paintings.

Each painting is named for a child. With bold, swirling colors the
Hurricanes evoke the artwork and energy of children. The artist has donated each painting to hang in the children's unit of a hospital in the United Kingdom. The donation of art work has begun in the United States and will soon spread to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
