· Privacy concerns in the information age.

· The nature and extent of identity theft, the damage to victims and businesses and
specific cases which highlight identity theft in the workplace.

· What to do if you have been victimized.

· Relevant legislation.

· Business practices that can minimize the likelihood that identity theft will occur.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Leslie B. Neustadt is an Assistant Attorney General in the New York State Office of the Attorney General where she serves as the Regional Coordinator for the Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau. She coordinates statewide consumer frauds investigations and enforcement efforts, and reviews all the consumer frauds settlements and litigation in upstate New York, in addition to handling her own cases. She is on the Attorney General’s Telemarketing Task Force, as well as the Elder Law Task Force, and is actively involved in consumer outreach and education. She previously worked for fifteen years in the Appeals and Opinions Bureau of the Attorney General’s Office, and was an Associate with Maynard, O’Connor, Smith and Catalinotto, where she handled appeals, and complex motions. She continues to brief and argue appeals for the Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau. Ms. Neustadt is a magna cum laude graduate of Temple University School of Law, and the University of Rochester.
