Changing Domain Name Servers
Windows 3.x || Windows 95/3.x with Trumpet || Mac 7.x || Mac Open Transport

For Windows 95

Click here to see TCP/IP Settings window

Open up MY COMPUTER
Open up DIAL-UP NETWORKING
Right - button click on CATSKILL ON LINE and Left- click on PROPERTIES
Click on SERVER TYPES
In ADVANCES OPTIONS make sure only ENABLE SOFTWARE COMPRESSION is checked.
In ALLOWED NETWORK PROTOCOLS make sure that TCP/IP is checked

Click on TCP/IP SETTINGS
Make certain that SERVER ASSIGNED IP ADDRESS is marked.
Make certain that SPECIFIY NAME SERVER ADDRESS is marked.
PRIMARY DNS should be 205.232.248.5
SECONDARY DNS should be 205.232.250.2

Make certain that both USE IP HEADER COMPRESSION and USE DEFAULT GATEWAY ON REMOTE NETWORK are both checked.

Click OK, and then Click OK again.
You should now reboot your computer

For Windows 3.x Catskill On Line Dialer

Open up Netscape Dial Up Edition
Open up Catskill On Line Dialer
Click Properties
Click Service Provider
In Primary DNS: Enter 205.232.248.5 then hit the Tab key on your keyboard to get to...
In Secondary DNS: Enter 205.232.250.2 then hit the Tab key on your keyboard to get to...
In Domain Name: Enter catskill.net
Then hit the Enter Key

For Windows 3.x or Windows 95 using Trumpet 2.0

Open up Trumpet 2.0
Click File
Click Setup
In Name Server, You should have 205.232.248.5
In Domain Suffix you should have catskill.net
In MTU you should have 576
In TCP RWIN you should have 2048
In TCP MSS you should have 512
In TCP RTO MAX you should have 60
Click OK
Windows will tell you that you need to restart Trumpet winsock for the network setup to take effect
Click OK
Close Trumpet 2.0

For Macintosh OS 7.x MacTCP

Open the Apple Menu
Open Control Panels
Open MacTCP
Click More
In the lower right side of the screen
Enter NS.delhi.net in Domain
Enter 205.232.248.5 in IP Address
Check Default
In the next set of boxes,
Enter 205.232.250.2 in IP address
Enter NS.catskill.net in Domain
Click OK

For Macintosh OS7.x-8.x TCP/IP Open Transport

Open the Apple Menu
Open Control Panels
Open TCP/IP
In Domain Name Server Addr: type in 205.232.248.5 and 205.232.250.2
In Search Domains put in ns.delhi.net and ns.catskill.net
Close the box and Save the changes
You May have Free PPP selected in the Connect via box: If you do, Do not change it
