11/19 Surf-Safe Parental Controls
We at Catskill On Line are currently reviewing the possibility of having a "Kids-safe" dial-up account with specific Parental Controls called "Surf-Safe".

Parents will simply call up and request to have a "Surf-Safe" dial-up account for their child. The Parent will have the ability to "filter" out specific sites that focus on content such as: Rascism, Hate, Violence, Pornography, and much more.

In additon to the charge for your unlimited Internet access account, Surf-Safe is only $5.95 for the first account and $2.95 for each account thereafter.

11/16 Interruption of Service for Walton Customers
There will be a temporary interruption of service for the Walton access number on Thursday, November 18 from 7:30am - 8:00am. This interruption is due to the installation of additional equipment in Walton to prepare us for future growth. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

In our continued pursuit of quality service, Catskill On Line is proud to announce a new newsgroup feed that provides our customers with access to over 33,000 newgroup communities. If you are already reading newsgroups, open your newgroup browser and hit refresh or subscribe to gain access to the new communities. Otherwise, Click Here to go to our On-line HelpDesk which will walk you through configuring your browser to access our newsgroup feed. Please note, you will need to download all the newsgroups, this will take approx. 15 mins. on a V.90/56K modem connected at 48,000.
